Brent Helms in conversation with a fellow professional.

Your clients trust your judgment. Brent respects what that means.

Brent treats your clients with the same clarity, care, and respect you’ve already shown them — so your relationship with them grows stronger, not more complicated.

A note from Brent

Thank you for your trust.

You’ve often invested years into building trust with your client before they ever walk into my office. I recognize the value of that relationship and the perspective you bring, and I appreciate the opportunity to work alongside professionals like you.

What should we cover for your client?

Before you reach out, run through your client’s situation. The topics below are the dimensions Brent typically plans around — check what matters to your client. We’ll use what you mark as a starting point when we talk.

  • A current trust that may need review or funding.
  • Minor children or grandchildren needing guardianship nominations.
  • Long-term care exposure worth planning around.
  • A business or partnership interest with succession needs.
  • Substantial life insurance worth considering for estate-tax sheltering.
  • A blended family or remarriage situation.
  • Estate-tax exposure at or near the $15M / $30M exemption.
  • Meaningful charitable giving goals.
  • Professional liability or asset-protection concerns.
  • Beneficiary designations or asset titling possibly out of sync.

I won’t reach out to your client without talking to you first.

When you have a client to discuss, give me a call or send me a note. We’ll talk about what they need and how you’d like the introduction to go. Your client gets the same care from me that you’ve already shown them.

As a courtesy to our professional referral partners, the firm generally waives the standard $400 consultation fee for clients you refer.

An invitation

Let’s meet.

Some of the best referral relationships start with lunch and a conversation that has nothing to do with trusts or tax returns. If you’d like to grab lunch, or you’d rather I come to your office than have you visit ours, just say so. My door is open.
